2011 Annual Spring Dinner
About 60 people gathered at Williams on the Lake for the Medina County Democrats' Annual Spring Dinner. Guest speaker, U.S. Congressman Tim Ryan, spoke about current issues and expressed confidence that we will prevail. He also pointed out that he is NOT related to the notorious Paul Ryan.

Senate Bill 5 (SB5) Rally in Medina
On March 13th, a group of about 500 people rallied on Medina’s Public Square to protest against Ohio SB 5. Several organizations participated including public and private sector unions, and Ohio and Medina County Democrats. There was a profound sense of solidarity against the bill which directly attacks any meaningful collective bargaining for public employee unions. The bill is viewed as a slam against working people, unions, and the middle class in general.

December Brunch 2010
On December 4, Medina County Democrats met for our annual Holiday Brunch at the Galaxy Banquet Center in Wadsworth. There was plenty of food for both the soul and the body. Upbeat messages were delivered by Auditor Mike Kovack, Chairperson Pam Miller, and our guest speaker U.S. Rep. Betty Sutton. The food was both good and plentiful.

On May 17 - 19, 2009, Medina Democrats toured Washington DC. They saw the White House & Capitol on a special tour with Senator Sherrod Brown, toured Mount Vernon and visited the Mounuments and Arlington National Cemetary.

About 55 people showed up Saturday morning, August 25th to learn how Iowa runs their presidential primary elections. After listening to speeches on each of the eight candidates, the voters went to candidate stations to cast their vote. The first round produced four viable candidates:
* Hillary Clinton
* John Edwards
* Bill Richardson
* Dennis Kucinich
Round 2 voting determined that John Edwards was Medina County's choice with Dennis Kucinch coming in second, Bill Richardson in third and Hillary Clinton in last place.
