Ohio Young Democrats Run2008 Candidate Training
Take action by Saturday, December 15, 2007
We are pleased to announce the kickoff of the
Ohio Young Democrats' Run2008 program! Run2008
is designed to help recruit, train, and support
young candidates at all levels of government.
OYD believes that by developing young talent
and experience in all 88 counties today,
Democrats will be successful not only in 2008,
but for years to come.
On Saturday,
December 15, 2007, Ohio Young Democrats will
host a Run2008 campaign training session at
Ohio Democratic Party Headquarters (271 East
State Street) from 10 AM to 4 PM.
The
training is open to those who wish to run for
office in 2008 and beyond, work/volunteer on
campaigns, and any others who might be
interested in electing Democrats. Presenters
include Ohio Democratic Party Chairman Chris
Redfern, State Representative and ODP Young
Democrat of the Year Jay Goyal, as well as a
number of elected young Democrats and other
seasoned campaign professionals.
This
free training seminar will give young
candidates for local, county, and state office,
as well as their staffers and volunteers, the
opportunity to receive training in critical
areas of campaigning--including communications,
voter contact and fundraising.
If you
know of any young Democrats that fit into one
of these categories, we ask that you pass this
information along. To RSVP, or for further
questions, please contact Adam Van Ho at
216-288-8500 or Tara Brown at brown@oyd.org.
Thank
you for your encouraging the development of
young Democrats throughout Ohio. We look
forward to working with you and your candidates
as we continue to Turn Ohio Blue!
