(Medina County Democratic Action Committee)MCDAC NEWSLETTER for JUNE 22,
2007
HELP DISTRIBUTE
COMMON SENSE AT BRUNSWICK OLD FASHIONED DAYS
PARADE and at JULY 4TH
PARADES
MCDAC is looking for
volunteers to pass out Common Sense at the
Brunswick Old Fashioned Days Parade on
Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 5:30 pm. What we
would like to do is have volunteers walk the
parade route backwards before the Parade starts
and hand out Common Sense to the people waiting
for the Parade to start. In 2006 Judge Mary
Kovack's volunteers distributed Common Sense in
this manner at the Brunswick Parade and the
Parades on July 4th. IIf you can help us out in
Brunswick or on July 4th, please email joycekimbler@medinacountydemocraticactioncommittee.org.
MIKE TODD FUNDRAISER JUNE
28TH
Medina Township Trustee,
and candidate for State Senate, Michael Todd
will be the beneficiary of a major fundraising
event at Coppertop at Cherokee Hills on June
28th. Organized by a host committee
including Prosecutor Dean Holman, Auditor Mike
Kovack, Brunswich Councilmen Vince Carl and
Patrick McNamara, and Ralph and Rita Holt and
Ed and Marcia Haddad, this event will feature a
cocktail hour and hot hors d'oeuvres, and run
from 5 to 8 PM. Tickets for the event
begin at $50/person. Ohio law allows
individuals to take a tax credit for up to
fifty dollar in donations (one hundred dollars
for a couple) to state candidates, so a ticket
purchase may be a one for one tax credit from
state taxes.
State Senate
Minority Leader Teresa Fedor and State Senator
and 16th Congressional District Candidate John
Boccieri will be in attendance to support
Mike's campaign. Additionally, the event
will feature speeches by other dignitaries and
by Mike Todd, to discuss his campaign for the
State Senate. Free beer, wine and soft
drinks will be provided, and a cash bar will be
available. Early support is crucial in
order for Mike's race to be a success, so
please come out. Walk ins are welcome,
but if possible, RSVP to Rita Holt at
330-725-8681 or Pete Zeigler at
330-321-7303. Checks should be made
payable to "Todd for Ohio" (no corporate
checks, please), and can be sent to Todd for
Ohio, P.O. Box 343, Medina, OH
44258.
