We Did It

We did
it!

Last Saturday
was our final collection day at the Medina
Farmers' Market for the United Way's first
ever "Stuff the Bus" campaign. During the
5-week period, we had a great response
from the community and our Democratic
members.
On the last
day we had bags and bags of school
supplies--notebook paper, folders, notebooks,
pens, pencils, pencil boxes, crayons, markers,
tissues, hand cleaners, copy paper, school
glue, school box kits and even some backpacks!
Cash donations that Democrats collected over
the weeks went towards the purchase of
some 200 backpacks.
The United Way
representative congratulated and thanked us for
helping make the project even more successful
than they had hoped. They expect to be able to
assist in Wadsworth, Brunswick, Buckeye,
Cloverleaf and Medina district
schools.
Many thanks to
all who helped organize and assist at the
Farmers' Market table and who collected
items and contributed to the
campaign!
