Medina County Dems Vote Goes UP In 2002, when there wasn't a contested race for the Democratic nomination for Governor, the total number of voters in the Medina County Democratic Primay was 7448. The unofficial results for the May 2006 primary, again when there wasn't really a contested primary for Governor or Senator, show that 11984 voters took Democratic ballots. That is a primary vote increase of 61%. That is a tremendous increase in the number of voters in our primary. Medina County Dems Win State Central Committee Seats According to the unofficial results, Mike Todd and Pat Hanek both won seats to the Democratic Party State Central Committee, and both scored impressive wins in Medina County. Republican Vote Total Down In May of 2002, 13791 Medina County residents took Republican ballots in the primary. In 2006, according to the unofficial results. that number fell to 13216. The decrease is remarkable considering that the GOP had a hotly contested races for its gubernatorial nomination. Medina County Democratic Primary Results Dem. Governor / Lt.
