Aging is for Everyone

The Buckeye Area Ministerial Assoc. (BAMA) will be holding a series of three public meetings Sept. 30, Oct. 7, and Oct 14 to address the financial, legal, health related issues, and spiritual dimensions of aging.  Whether it be financial planning for your kids’ education, your health, retirement, or assistance for mom and dad, we need to hear concerns and input.

“Thriving and Coping” - This first meeting will encourage facilitated dialogue on topics of all aging concerns and questions and answers with our speaker, Kathy Shook of Catholic Charities.  This and subsequent meetings will be from 7-9 PM with a 15 minute break for refreshments.

“Aging with Grace” - The second meeting will be led by presenters, Jane Parish of Hospice of Medina, Jamie McGinty of LifeCare, and Chris Bridges of Bridges Home Health Care.  Each will explain what their agency provides and answer questions.

“Legal Issues” - Our speaker will be Attorney Elena Lidrvauch who will be addressing legal and financial concerns primarily for the elderly, but likely to be a consideration for all ages.  Questions will be encouraged.  Following, Rev. Joe Burkhardt, Pastor of York Methodist Church will speak on “ The Spirituality of Aging.”

All three meetings will be held at York United Methodist Church , 4 miles west of Medina at State Rt. 18&252.  Questions: call the church at 330-725-8147.
