Forum to Feature Judicial Candidates  

The League of Women Voters of the Akron area and seven other area organization will hold a non-partisan forum for candidates for judge.  The Leaque will moderate the forum, which is free and open to the public. 

Speaking at the forum will be candidates from the 9th District Court of Appeals, comprising Medina, Lorain, Wayne and Summit counties, and those running for the Common Pleas Court and Domestic Relations Court for Summit County only.

The program will be divided, with the panel for candidates running for the 9th District Court of Appeals speaking during the first 45 minutes, and the panel of candidates for Common Pleas and Domestic Relations Courts during the last 45 minutes.  Time limits for each candidate will be strictly adhered to, and written questions from the audience will be screened on site by a joint committee.

In keeping with the strict non-partisanship of the sponsoring organizations, no campaining posters or literature will be allowed in the meeting room.  A table for campaign materials will be made available outside the room.
