The language of the TEL Amendment contains references to the taxing and spending limitations that apply to all political subdivisions of the state.
Program:
This forum will focus on the potential ramifications of the TEL Amendment proposal on public services, municipalities, townships and other local jurisdictions in Medina County. Kevin O’Brien will discuss the findings from CSU’s recently released report, A Review of the Impact of Tax and Expenditure Limitations on Ohio’s Finances. Michael Cochran will talk about how the Ohio Township Association is working with other local government organizations to educate Ohioans about the financial problems the TEL Amendment would cause schools and local governments. A Question & Answer session will follow.
