Ohio must adequately fund its public schools and the state of Ohio needs to play a greater role in ensuring every child has a chance to learn in a safe school with an excellent teacher. Ohio Democrats have fought for fair funding for public education and believe in providing the resources required to meet the tougher academic standards now demanded from every child. The state and federal government must live up to its end of the deal and provide the resources so Ohio parents know when they invest their local tax dollars in education, their children will be going to an excellent school.
