President Bush confidently assumes he knows what is best for all of us, not only in matters of terrorism, but also in economics.  His record and attendance to duty in the U.S. Air Force Reserve strongly indicate he would not have struck much terror in the hearts of potential enemy pilots.  But leaving that aside, his entrepreneurial track record in the oil business seems not to have been at all noteworthy.  Nevertheless, we know since the 2004 election he has been barnstorming the country as a self-appointed expert on what we should do with our Social Security benefits (if in fact he leaves us any).

So let us ask the question:  If we are seeking financial advice in preparation for a secure retirement, would we seek out a very reputable financial advisor with references of a good track record, or would we pick someone whose references come from corporate titans and who brings his white haired mother along to charm as many as possible with her celebrity status.  If you think you know who mother and son are, I'll bet you're right!
