Betty Sutton Attack

For Immediate Release from the Medina County Democratic Party

April 25, 2010, Medina, Ohio...The Republican Party in Medina County reached a new low last week when they urged their followers to send Congresswoman Betty Sutton "back to the kitchen."  What were they thinking?  Considering the fact that the Republican Executive Committee includes several women, you have to wonder if they've been brainwashed by the men their Party.  This sexist comment is so egregious that women and men of every political persuasion should be outraged.

Pamela Miller, Chair of the Medina County Democratic Party, said "This is a perfect example of how out-of-touch the Republican Party is,not just with women, but with society as a whole."  Miller went on to say, that "voters should be troubled by a Party so hypocritical that it trashes a large segment of its own."

According to Miller, Congresswoman Sutton has been so successful in her first two terms that Republicans have little to challenge her with and, as a result, have resorted to archaic tactics that simply will not resonate with today's voters.

This kind of attack should inspire Democrats, Independents, and even Republicans, to rally in support of Congresswoman Sutton's re-election.
