BOCCIERI RECEIVES FRIEND OF FARM BUREAU
AWARD
Honored for Dedication to Local Farming
Community
CANTON, OH –
Today, U.S. Congressman
John Boccieri (D-Alliance) was awarded the
“Friend of Farm Bureau Award” by the Ohio Farm
Bureau for his work on behalf of the
agriculture community.
“I am honored to be awarded such a
prestigious award by an organization that does
so much for our local farmers,” said
Boccieri. “It is a privilege to work for
Ohio’s farmers and I will continue to stand up
for their concerns in
Washington.”
Boccieri received the “Friend of Farm
Bureau Award” at the Farm of Matt Peart in
Burbank. He is the only Democrat member
of Congress to receive this award from the Ohio
Farm Bureau this year.
The “Friend of Farm Bureau Award” is
given to members of Congress nominated by their
state Farm Bureaus based on their voting
record, cosponsorship of legislation supporting
Farm Bureau priorities, and leadership on
agricultural issues.
