Vote By Mail

Anyone registered voter can now vote an absentee ballot.  A specific reason no longer needs to be provided.

To vote by Absentee Ballot is a 2 step process:

  1. First you request an absentee ballot application form, which causes the Medina County Board of Elections to mail you an absentee ballot.
  2. Then you fill out the ballot and return it to the Medina County Board of Elections.

Absentee Voting

In general, Absentee voting begins 35 days before primary and general elections and - except for voters hospitalized due to emergencies, discussed under "Absentee Deadlines" below - ends the day before the election.

From Overseas

If you are serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces outside Ohio, you, your spouse, and your dependents may vote by armed service absentee ballot if you otherwise meet the requirements for voting in Ohio.  Please refer to the Medina County Board of Elections information at:  Medina County BOE Armed Service Absentee Ballot.
